Managing director of the Union industry opened a new testing laboratory ELKO EP
Dagmar Kuchtová the managing director of the Union industry in the day 26th May 2016 cut the tape of new trial laboratory ELKO EP. Investment of six million Czech crowns will allow to test the product right in the development and fulfil the highest request of quality for all the markets.
The original testing laboratory served ELKO EP well before but the space did not match the needs and capacity of development any more. In addition the appliances earlier managed to test only one-third of the required international standards, whereas today it is possible to verify them all.
„The new testing laboratory will enable us to design products that exceeds current norms and regulations. We use to test our products against these values in commercial laboratories but we need more, because “the nominal” is not enough for us. Particularly in countries where the stability and quality of the network is not in accordance with standards - for example Russia. The owner of the company ELKO EP says: „It has been normal that after some time the product was returned burned, everybody has declared the nominal values, but the network analyzer has confirmed something else.
Jiří Konečný, the owner of the company ELKO EP which exports switches, relays and intelligent wiring to more than 70 countries of the world, adds: „During the testing operation they tried several products of the competitors and we were surprised how many of them declare their compliance with the standard, even if the basic parameters are not even close.’’
In an internal testing laboratory each of products are tested against EMC resistance not only by the eight special testing machines but also in a special soundproof rooms or in the model living room, which also controls the effect of various types walls (drywall, brick, porous concrete). The opening of the laboratory brought a one new work place, the other three employees changed positions from the ranks of the development and test engineers. Overall, the company form Holešov employs almost three hundred people in 13 countries around the world.
The opening ceremony was attended by managing director of the Industrial Union Dagmar Kuchtová, who mostly appreciated number of the unique products and utility models that ELKO EP in last ten years introduced on the market and at the same time an extraordinary business flexibility companies exporting to abroad.
